Written in the stars: crypto, astrology and the hidden market cycles

For most of my life I dismissed astrology as nonsense, in the same way I once dismissed money as a necessary evil and technology as something only for nerds. It took me a long time, and a fair amount of personal upheaval, to understand that the things we are conditioned to dismiss are often the very things worth looking into. Astrology turned out to be one of those things for me, and the deeper I went, the more I realised it has a great deal to say about money, markets and the times we are living through right now.

Let me be clear about what I am talking about, because it is not what most people think. The horoscope you read in a magazine is entertainment. Real astrology is the study of human behaviour through the movement of the planets. Astronomy tells us where the planets are. Astrology interprets what that means for us down here on Earth, and it is far more scientific than people give it credit for.

What is happening now is some of the biggest astrological shifts in a very long time. The largest planets in our solar system have all changed signs and found their home, and the big planets relate to the big trends, the macro cycles that play out over decades and generations. They are slow cycles, however you can track them throughout history, and every major flowering of society, and every major crisis, correlates strongly with where these planets sit.

Pluto, the planet of transformation and rebirth, has moved into Aquarius, the sign of humanity, innovation, technology and freedom. When Pluto changes signs, old ways die completely and a whole new rebirth begins. Neptune, all about dreams and vision, has moved into Aries alongside Saturn, which demands structure and hard reality. When you bring those two together, the dream can become a reality, but only when you ground it in real work. Uranus, the planet of sudden change and technology, has just completed its eighty four year journey into Gemini. And Saturn, the hard taskmaster and timekeeper, is demanding patience and structure from all of us.

When it comes to money, crypto and technology, all of these things are highly aspected at the moment. These are not small movements. They are the biggest shifts in lifetimes.

If you look back roughly eighty to ninety years through history, it almost correlates with every major reset on our Earth. The last one was around 1944, when World War Two ended, the United Nations was formed, and the US dollar was installed as the global reserve currency. That cycle is now coming to an end. This is why crypto is rising. It is rising out of the ashes of the old fiat system.

This is what is known as the fourth turning, four generations of change culminating in the fourth, which is where we are now. The cycle itself is bigger than any government or any so-called leader trying to hold onto power.

The word money comes from moon, and that is no accident. The moon is pure emotion and the subconscious. Just imagine what it does to the tides, pulling the great oceans in and out. We are seventy to eighty percent water ourselves, and the moon is literally pulling the water in our bodies, which has a direct impact on our emotions.

At the full moon the energy is high, emotions are high, and people vote with their emotion and sell. Often you will find a sell-off in the markets at a full moon, and it just happened on our recent one. As we move towards the new moon, which signals new beginnings, that is often when the market does well and people are buying. Money is so deeply tied to our emotion. People buy on emotion, and people sell on emotion, and when enough people are activated by the same energy at the same time, that creates real price movement.

Some people have done a chart for Bitcoin, taking the moment it mined its first block on the first of January 2009, just as you get a chart when you are born. When you trace the booms and busts of Bitcoin against that chart over time, it is quite amazing how closely they have correlated with astrology. The turning points line up.

And when you look at the bigger cycles, we are very much in a trough at the moment, both in crypto and in this technological cycle. We are pretty much at the bottom, about to go on a major upswing. This is a predictable pattern you can see when you look back through history. Everything goes up and down in cycles, and that is exactly what astrology is endeavouring to map.

I want to be very clear about something. We should never base all our trades on the moon and the planets, or on intuition alone. We have to back it up with charting analysis and with what is actually happening with the project, the development and the fundamentals. Astrology is not a standalone strategy. It is a supplementary tool, another lens to look through alongside everything else.

The equinoxes and solstices, four times a year, are often very volatile times in the markets. It is not a signal to buy or sell. It is a time to be extra watchful, to double down on your research, and above all not to react. Respond, do not react, because the moment you let emotion take the wheel is the moment you make your worst decisions.

We are living through a genuine transition. The old financial system, built in 1944 and propped up by eighty years of US dollar dominance, is in its final phase, and crypto exists right in the middle of it, not by accident, but as the technology for what comes next. Your stress goes down as your knowledge goes up, and knowing that we are not in random noise but in a predictable phase of a very large cycle gives you perspective, the patience to hold, and the confidence that the trough is not the end. It is the beginning.
